Refund Policy
At Village Bites, we take pride in delivering high-quality Indian sweets and snacks with care and consistency. While all products are non-returnable due to their perishable nature, we offer refunds in specific cases outlined below.
Eligibility for Refund
Refunds are considered only for products that are spoiled, damaged in transit, or missing from the shipment. Requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery and must include clear photo or video evidence of the issue.
Non-Returnable Items
Due to food safety regulations, we do not accept returns for any items once delivered. This includes sweets, snacks, condiments, and dairy-based products.
Proof Required
To process a refund, customers must provide:
- Clear photos of the damaged or spoiled item
- Unboxing video showing the issue
- Order number and registered email address
Requests without sufficient proof may not be eligible for refund consideration.
Refund Process
Once your request is reviewed and approved, we will initiate the refund within 48 hours. The amount will be credited to your original payment method within 3–5 business days. Refund status updates will be sent via email.
Coupon and Discount Adjustments
If a coupon was applied during checkout and a better coupon is discovered later, refund requests for the difference must be made within 3 hours of placing the order. No adjustments will be made once the order is packed or dispatched.
International Orders
Customers outside India are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or clearance delays. Village Bites is not liable for damage caused during customs inspection or delays beyond our control. Refunds will not be issued for such cases.
Product Restrictions
- Milk-based sweets and ghee cannot be shipped to the UK or EU due to import restrictions.
- Nut-based products are not eligible for delivery to the UK.
- Non-vegetarian items are available only for domestic delivery within India.
If restricted items are ordered, we will offer a substitute or refund within 5 business days if no alternative is available.
Delivery Refusal and Inactivity
If a customer refuses delivery or fails to respond to delivery attempts, the order will be rescheduled once. Continued refusal or lack of response will result in cancellation without refund.
Cancellation Policy
Orders may be canceled within 3 hours of placement, provided they have not been packed or dispatched. During peak seasons (e.g., Diwali), cancellation requests may not be accepted due to immediate processing.
If Village Bites cancels an order due to stock unavailability or logistical issues, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
How to Request a Refund
All refund requests must be submitted via email to support@thevillagebites.com using the same email address used to place the order. Requests via social media, WhatsApp, or phone will not be prioritized unless acknowledged by our team.
